An individual who can complement our team and help provide an exceptional technology experience for our employees. With a strong knowledge of the Microsoft eco-system, on premise and in the cloud (Azure), this individual:

The Team

You will be part of a close-knit team of 4 employees, supporting an organization of approximately 70 employees. You will be required to be in the office two days a week and be able to travel to the office on additional days when necessary.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deploy, provision and manage Azure cloud infrastructure components
  • Perform regular management and administration tasks for all cloud services including upgrades, patching, backups, restores, troubleshooting, and issue remediation.
  • Plan, implement, manage and govern identity, authentication and access controls
  • Work with the team to plan and migrate our technical infrastructure to the cloud
  • Maintain the efficient operation of on-premises systems (servers, switches, firewalls, storage area networks, etc.).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.
  • Research and recommend improvements to increase efficiencies in our mission.

About You:

  • You have hands-on experience with the various Microsoft 365 application portals, especially Intune.
  • You have hands-on experience implementing authentication and access management using Microsoft Entra ID Network Analyst - Azure
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure networking solutions, including administration, networking and security features.
  • Experience with managing Microsoft technologies (on-premises, virtualization and in Azure).
  • Experience managing and configuring network components (routers, switches, firewalls, servers, storage appliances, wireless access points, cameras etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell preferred) for automation and administration
  • Have a keen interest to learn and hands-on evaluate cloud solutions
  • Would like to further your certification and knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Can determine root-cause(s) of issues by reverse engineer workflows by using the appropriate utilities
  • Can challenge the norm – promote change, innovation by proposing new ideas or perspectives that differ from the conventional ways of doing things.

Education & Certification

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Information Technology
  • Certification in any of following technologies is considered a strong asset: Microsoft, Palo Alto, CISCO, VMware or similar.

Technical Skills

  • Experience administering and managing the various Microsoft Portals (Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Entra etc….)
  • Experience with cloud computing specifically Azure.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, network components (firewalls, switches, wireless access points, storage appliances) and virtualized systems.
  • Thorough understanding of Internet protocols (TCP/IP and related protocols such as SMTP, OAuth2, SAML, SFTP, etc.).
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, root-cause-analysis, remediation, and communication.
  • Experience with tools such as syslog, Nagios, Wireshark, and iPerf and similar tools.
  • Experience with automation using scripting – specifically PowerShell (understanding, writing, executing, scheduling, and maintaining scripts).
  • Good understanding of Public Key Infrastructure, authentication, and authorization protocols, configuration, and systems.
